My Thoughts on Eminem's Video Just Lose It

Just Lose It from Eminem was a music video released in 2004 which caught and kept my attention and I'm trying to figure out why it made me stay to watch the video over and over again. The more I look and think about this music video, it's another moment to say it gets better everytime I watch it. The biggest draw is the production value of the time, when Eminem popularity was maturing to the point, where he could almost put anything he wanted. Of course, with the help of Dr.Dre, who helps him makes his videos, the level of production and experience which show.

The video pokes fun at some moments in pop culture including Eminem's own movie 8 Mile, with scenes which are located in his own city of Detroit. Other interesting appearances along with who he pokes fun at includes MC Hammer, Madonna, and Pee-wee Herman. The music video also features Paris Hilton, who at the time, had moments where she caused controversy also, which was fitting to the video.

Other then being popular for using Michael Jackson's unfortunate events and career move at the time, I wouldn't think that's the reason why this video was popular. It's another video to see who pays attention to the lyrics and sights the video offers. I love the special effect with the video, such as the lit floor and the hair on fire. I thought that was interesting. Of course, Michael Jackson wasn't happy about it but it's a dark way of saying thanks to Michael Jackson for putting up with events like that.
